Has anyone here worked in a county or state election office?

What would happen if Trump bails out? What happens to votes already cast? And what about ballots? Mail-in ballots are about to be sent out in CA and there is no time for reprinting. I worked in a municipal election office many years ago and this was our nightmare scenario.

Only the votes for his replacement were counted.

In my county, we have programmed electronic machines. They would have to be reprogrammed and I doubt that could be done in time for the election. And Early Voting? Fuhgeddaboutit. No way we could have the machines ready next week.
