Even if Trump has been on his best behavior for a year, the tape(s) was still out there

I suppose he could have been out there delivering a pro-woman message. He could have avoided the racism, etc. But he would not have won the nomination running as a D lite.

Maybe this tape would have had less of an impact had he been less bigotted and outrageous. But then again, the tape is SO outrageous that the takeaway would still be that he was a liar who was running away from his past.

The fact that the tape reinforces and absolutely confirms what everyone already knew about him is why it is taking him down.
