5. This was meant to be a smear on the GOP. And it is pretty darned accurate.

Talk about anybody else all you want and call them what you want. But to the GOP leadership, when you start talking about white women, that crosses the line.

6. But he has been on the record talking this way about white women

And no one cared.

There are countless stories about him treating white women this way, and they were ignored.

Because I don't get it either. After all the things he said, this is what they have a huge problem with? Why not with all the other things he said?

I don't know. It is bizarre. You can listen to any of his interviews with Howard Stern over the years and hear much the same sort of talk (directed at prominent white women, such as Princess Diana, for example, who he says he "could have nailed&quot .

I think that is what did it. Went from "I could have nailed ___," which is disgusting, disrespectful and objectifying, to grabbing women's private parts against their will.

It isn't just the GOP. Many of my so-called liberal friends have been largely silent until now, even though they weren't Trump supporters. But NOW, he's talking about 51% of the population and so they are highly offended. It's insidious.

It's the sexual assault aspect of the entire thing.

I'm not excusing any disgusting thing he's said. And for the GOP who are bailing you might be right. But for many of us it's like hearing someone confess to an assault and the intention of assaulting more, in the most giggling, heinous way imaginable.
