He's not dropping out, he's angry at the RNC again. He's back into Trump primary mode! This is great news for us!

in favor of Pence. It would reportedly be very messy legally, many have already voted for him, etc., but it could be done.

Reportedly Pence has also warned party leaders that (public airing of) Trump's vulgar language, etc., is beneath his lofty standards and that he could withdraw from the race. Attempt to lever action? He backed out of Paul Ryan's WI event, the one he was going to attend today in Trump's place.

He currently has no pending events on their website. But, I'm not expecting him to actually back out. He's hoping Trump quits and he is escalated to the top seat.

I'm not sure they can actually remove Trump. They can try and starve him out, but it's doubtful if article 9 could be used to remove him.

they did now would almost certainly be focused on keeping control of the Senate and state governments.

IF that were possible, McConnell would absolutely step on that 22-24% and worry about them later; he's had a long and successful career of screwing over Kentuckians for 5 years out of every 6, if not all 6. Can't see Ryan worrying overmuch about the feelings of Ayn Rand's "weak people" in this emergency either, with 2 years to bring them in line before the next election.

There are some weasel words that may allow them to replace Trump, but all of this will take time as votes are being cast and decisions made.

They will have to go to court in all 50 states if Trump fights it. Notice the Supreme Court is 4-4 so each state will have to decide on its own merits if an expected 4-4 comes down (the liberal justices being more principled might apply the New Jersey Senate race precedent - they refused to hear that one that allowed the Democratic party to replace its candidate in early October).

someone interviewed on PBS.

As for the technicalities of laws that have never been tested in court, the term "fait accompli" comes to mind. As we all know, ignoring and actively breaking election-related laws is, in fact, SOP for the GOP. Just look at Gore v. Bush and all the crimes that lead up to that. SCOTUS made canceling the right to vote in favor of fait accompli precedent, and who went to prison?

All the shit he tweets. Narcissists believe themselves incapable of making mistakes so anything that goes wrong is really someone else's fault. It's Hillary's fault, the election is rigged, nobody treats him fairly. We've heard it over and over. This IS the real Donald Trump - a misunderstood genius - at least that's what the voices in his head tell him.

Then he will claim the whole wide world is out to get him.

The media don't want you out of the race. They're cashing in big time on the biggest buffoon to ever run for the office.

Many of your supporters are not bright enough to realize if you drop out or just lose badly. They're beyond disappointment because it's too much for them to get their head around.

Whether you quit or lose badly, I don't think most of the rest of the world gives a damn - as long as it's one or the other. The Nixon family is probably appreciative because you proved there could be a bigger asshole to run of the office than Dick.
