Trump dropping out? NO WAY, NOT NOW. His primary supporters knew whom they were voting for.

I sure as hell HOPE he stays in. Handcuff him to the debate podium if we have to. Trump was nominated by the rank and file voters of the Republican Party. That's who he represents, and that's who they wanted as their nominee. It's not like they hadn't seen him enough in the years up to now. They've seen PLENTY of him, and they liked what they saw. They should get their chance to vote for their nominee--or not.

If Republicans suddenly decide the country just MIGHT be better off if their man did NOT become president, well, let the voting reflect that, and then let Republicans have a moment to think about who is REALLY guiding their thinking and their politics. This is no longer the party of Eisenhower. It is the party of Roger Ailes, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. It is the party of Alex Jones, Ann Coulter, and Andrew Breitbart. Its true representatives in Congress are Louie Gohmert, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Mitch McConnell and Trey Gowdy.

The voters created by Fox "News," National Hate Radio and rags like the Washington Times are now the majority of the Republican Party, and this is what they wanted. So let them have their man face the country and tell them he's ready to be their president. If they finally decide they are not ready to have HIM as their president, well, by the living gawd that made you, their just might be some hope for us yet. But don't, at this late stage, deprive the American voters of their right to find out.

You have cloaked our desires in the language of reason.

This is what we want, and you have made it acceptable.

Well done!

with a massive amount of money. I believe that his bluster about how wealthy he is may not be totally true. The GOP knows he can't win the election but might pay him so that the candidates for other offices don't go down with him.

But I doubt the RNC has the kind of money needed to buy him off, and I doubt that at this late stage the Kochs want to invest in a lost cause. They are throwing money into Congressional races like it was confetti, and as this might be Citizens United's last hurrah if they are stingy, I understand their logic, even if I hope their money is wasted.

His dropping out is very very difficult now, once ballots have been made and posted overseas, many absentee and early voting has been done. Only thing that is possible that trump says he will resign after elections and pence becomes president.

Even if trump drops out, there will huge court battle between RNC and DNC on procedures governing each state. There simply not many days left to do this kind of thing.

I already returned mine in the mail a week ago, and my daughter in Frankfurt got hers a few days ago.

I don't know how the whole election cycle could be stopped at this point. Maybe that was the real idea behind the Republicans letting this farce go on this long in the first place? Have an unprecedented disruption (such as Trump laying down his mandate as the Republican candidate) and try to force the FEC to postpone. It shouldn't work, but it's probably the only kind of Hail Mary they have left in their arsenal, and I'm sure cooler heads in the RNC know it could just as easily either A.) fail miserably, B.) make them look even more foolish than they look now, or C.) both.

Anyone who knew anything about Donald Trump or even was interested enough to find out, knew that Trump was not fit to be President. All those spineless nominees, Party leaders and "moderate " Republicans just followed blindly along and NOW all of a sudden, they see him for what he really is -(fill in your own term). Every elected Republican or Republican candidate who refused to denounce Trump early on is just one of the Deploreables and should be voted out of office. As far as his followers go, if the shoe fits wear ir!

There are plenty of them who should NOT have ever gotten there in the first place, and yet, there they are.
