2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump is currently retweeting Juanita Broaddrick
In Broaddrick's tweets that Trump is retweeting right now, she is claiming that she was raped.
That should give us all a window into the direction he plans to go tomorrow (and beyond).

(92,216 posts)and said she "likes the things Donald Trump says". That was before Friday's republican implosion, but there was no doubt about Mr. Trump's racist and sexist comments previously, and that did not bother Ms. Broaddrick.
There are many question that will never be known in the story which was first denied by Ms. Broaddrick, then not denied.
The bottom line is, Hillary is NOT Bill Clinton. If Trump brings up Bill Clinton's behavior to justify his behavior, he loses. Just as Melania is not responsible for Trump's behavior, Hillary is not responsible for Bill's behavior.

(115,727 posts)was rehashed a zillion times over 20 years ago. If Trump wants to bring it up again against Hillary, that's just stupid. Bill isn't running and Hillary wasn't responsible for Bill's behavior. If Trump wants to start blaming wives for their husbands' sexual misbehavior, that's going to go over like the proverbial turd in the punchbowl. All those women whose husbands fooled around - and there are thousands and thousands - will just love that spin.

(870 posts)Don't think that she doesn't, or her debate team is not worth anything. She had a ready answer for the emails which shut him down. I'm sure there were still a lot in the vault if he persisted.
So she already has retorts for the following:
1. Emails
2. Benghazi
3. Clinton Foundation
4. TPP and other trade related zingers
5. Wall Street speeches
6. Open boarders (in economic terms)
7. Bill Clinton's women
8. Health care
So please, folks, calm down.

(658 posts)I just pray they put him through a metal detector like everyone else. I don't want Hillary or someone in the audience hurt, if you get my meaning here. The man is utterly unhinged and in a reality not like ours.
As for Hillary, she's been prepping like the pro she is. I have no worries about her performance. Hell, she could just stand there and look at him without saying a word and the effect will be brilliant.
And let us not forget the setting - Town Hall. Trump cannot mess this up, just cannot (i.e. he's toast if he does - although, I believe he's already toast). Given that he's not practicing and that he is hinting of a Jerry Springer worthy performance already on Twitter, I think history in infamy is about to made yet again in this election.
Hillary's got this. She's simply unflappable.
Meanwhile, Orange Shit Stain is unraveling.

(3,335 posts)to get past is that she invited Bill Clinton up to and into her hotel room where she was staying while attending a seminar. She lived in the same town Clinton did, and she knew him before the incident. But the incident happened in a town both were visiting at the time. I think that they had coffee and sat and talked for a while in the hotel dining area before she invited him up to her room. Her hotel room was not a suite with a living room area separate for 'entertaining', it was a room with a bed in it. They ended up on the bed together, and she didn't seem to complain until it got rough and she said he bit her on the lip. She also was a married woman.
As a woman, in those day our mothers, grandmothers, and aunts always warned us of putting ourselves in a compromising position we couldn't handle. Also, some women get mad after finding out that they were what we called it back then was a wham, bam, thank you ma'am. All the books and stories told and written about Clinton back in those days in Littlerock AK said that Bill Clinton was a charmer of women, whose husbands didn't pay a lot of attention to them, and there did not seem to be a shortage of volunteers.
The world has changed a lot since then. Back then, if a woman invited a man up into her bedroom, there was an implied consent that they were there to have sex. Nothing is implied anymore. Today you must have actual consent. And you have to stop when they say no, even if they said yes 5 minutes ago.

(18,672 posts)If Trump wants to bring this up at a town hall, he is going to make things worse for himself. Trying to deflect his vulgar behavior is not going to work. He will be outclassed by HRC in every way, shape or form. I want to see him and everyone who is enabling him go down.

(36,827 posts)She has gone back and forth on the story and told multiple different versions of it. She wasn't found credible in the Paula Jones lawsuit, she wasn't found credible during Clinton's impeachment, she wasn't found credible by multiple news outlets, and she wasn't found credible by even Ken Starr who was desperately trying to hang the Clintons on anything he could possibly find.

The right to counsel is an important one. Sean Hannity is a tool and part of the reason a man like Trump became the Republican nominee.

We're looking for the next President of the United States here.
Trump can't man up and own up to his mistakes without blaming someone else or deflecting, one of the MANY MANY reasons he is unfit to serve as dogcatcher, much less POTUS.
