Trump stated that when you are a star you can do anything you want...including grabbing a woman's genitals...and getting away with it. He thinks he is entitled to do this and that it is OK. He probably still doesn't even understand why what he said is so wrong and THAT is a huge part of the issue.

People are upset by the fact that Trump has said "things not PC" all along - but the GOP nominated him anyway.

People are upset that in a system comprising two major parties, one of those parties is promoting the idea that an idiotic, know-nothing bigot is POTUS material.

People are upset that there are voters dumb enough to vote for a fuckin' idiot because being touted as "NOT politically correct" is so "out", it's "in".

My reading of your post is that Trump supporters have now turned on him for being not PC when all along that is what they admired. Is this correct?

a pattern of inappropriate, abusive and non-consensual behavior towards women, as well as his rationalizations for it.

non-PC language is secondary to the issue.

That level of grossness was a bridge too far for decent people, and "political correctness" has nothing to do with their reaction to it.

And I lump his lack of PC with his boorishness, rudeness, grossness, and inability to comply with the most basic of decency standards. The subject of his boasting, of course, goes beyond all that and into criminal behavior.
