and the ballots are printed so the new presidential nominee would have to be a "write-in"....so its pretty implausible that this will happen

and no...it doesn't automatically goes to Pence

the problem will be that people are already voting, and it would be impossible for many states to change their ballots. The damage has been done.

that have long passed. People keep seeing "the ballots are printed", that's the very least of the issues involved. The GOP's only chance is if Trump wins,then convince the electoral college to vote for their choice. Ain't gonna happen. The die is cast.
