(28,749 posts)You serious? O'Reilly did?
Truly shocked! And I don't mean the Claude Raines version of shock.

I bow me head generally in your direction.
After the VP debate Michelangelo Senorile on Sirius/XM radio commented on that in a funny way.
He recalled that Pence mentioned "whipping out that Mexican think again" in response to Kaine, but Senorile also recalled during the debate that Pence, the devout Christian that he is, also said that he likes to "get on his knees everyday".
I'll leave everyone to draw their own conclusions from that.

(17,863 posts)After Germany and the Soviet Union signed their non-aggression pact and carved up Poland (thus forcing U.K. and France to declare war on Germany), the U.S. Communist Party was strongly against intervention by the United States. Immediately after Barbarossa the Communist Party turned on a dime and began advocating the entrance of the U.S. against Germany.
The fact that Fox has abandoned Trump means that he is coming off the ticket.
Of course I may be full of it because apparently Rence Priebus. I got to think he is a dead man walking.

(11,949 posts)But what exactly does this have to do with republican politics? I mean, I can see the analogy, but it just seems out there.
Because the republican party cannot 'fire' trump. Unless he dies or quits he is on the ticket. Either way Hillary wins.
My preference would be that he fight a running battle with the republican party until around November 5 and then have a press conference where he quits. And who knows, he just might do it. Because his hatred is now totally focused on the republicans who are stabbing him in the back. He wants to beat Hillary, but he has a burning hatred for those who have betrayed him.
Have a great evening

(17,863 posts)I guess I was making the point that the media arm of the RNC (Fox) is signaling. Maybe a Pravda example might have worked better since that is effectively how Fox operates in relation to the Republican Party.

(11,949 posts)I think even Fox sees the writing on the wall. Plus, I hear the winds of change might be blowing through that organization. Ailes is out and the old man is, well, old. His sons want to be able to run with the hip, liberal crowd. And may actually object to owning the most reviled media outlet in the world.
But I agree with the jist of your comment. When Fox abandons a Republican candidate the jig is up.

And even if he withdraws he stays on the ballots.
There is not fantasy save-the-gop scenario.
