We're watching a 12 yr old boy. Emotionally stunted at age 12.

Perhaps that is when his parents sent him off to military boarding school. Separation anxiety damaged him emotionally, IMHO.
The interrupting, the exaggerations, the "I'm the greatest", etc. = 12 year old boy.

Needed to get him out of the family house.
Wonder if he has 666 tattooed on the back of his hair plugged head?

His father damaged him in other ways. His older brother could not live up to the father's expectations, because he was decent, but Donald was game...and here he is.
