It wasn't "a nasty debate"...it was a debate in which ONE CANDIDATE was nasty.

"Why does the MSM keep acting like Hillary was JUST as nasty as Trump?"
Some will simply never get it and it's why the Republican Party will rebound. I seriously have no clue how people are still confused by this shit.

(50,254 posts)This isn't just about sexism. It's about the MSM refusing to acknowledge reality when it's right in front of them.

(30,481 posts)Read your last sentence. The one in the post I am replying to here. You haven't known that for over a decade? Most of us have. That is my point.

(50,254 posts)Why is it so important to you reduce the whole thing to "they just hate women"?
If Trump's opponent this fall had been a man, the MSM would have handled last night the same way.
Especially if Trump's opponent this fall had been Jewish and left-wing.

And please don't pm me making this some argument about the primaries. Thanks.
I'm not sure how people still don't get the consistent manner in which the media treats Democrats. Very simple point and directly related to your op.

(50,254 posts)But it's deeper than a bias against a gender or a party. This is an outright denial of reality.
And as you see in the responses to my OP, I'm far from the only person who doesn't understand this.
And I'm sorry...but it sounded to me like you were saying that I was somehow denying that sexism is part of the equation or that you were just trying to pick some sort of fight with me. My bad. I got it wrong.

If a woman forcefully states facts while maintaining her composure, she's a raving bitch.

(13,258 posts)Because in their minds, she was. You see, she wasn't..."lady-like," i.e., quiet, smiling, simpering, and scared.
I was reading through some tweets earlier about the donald's constant looming presence on stage and the subsequent media reports about how he did in the debate. Many of those tweets were pointing out that it was as though the press had watched a completely different debate than the women and men who were aware of the donald's threatening and bullying behaviors.
Hillary was not intimidated, i.e., not "lady-like;" nervous and scared. That equals nasty.
