They're the ones who created him in the first place.

(8,999 posts)I want them to apologise profusely to those of us who watched their assaults on Obama. Their silence was deafening. All those years. Even now, Supreme Court stalling? You shits.
You are a bunch of pigs who have no shame.
Moral cowards.

(23,520 posts)I think Washington Post has a generally right-wing editorial line- especially on matters of international relations.

(22,274 posts)however the headlines are still fun!
I am pleased that finally the media has actually started going after him. I think all those anti Trump and pro Clinton endorsements by all the major newspapers (plus many many second tier ones) freed up the media to go after him.
Whatever the reason, I am glad to see it.

(57,621 posts)"awake" and "beachbum bob" have already made this point, but here are my two cents.
The Washington Post has an editorial department, and it has a news department. The two are kept separate. This is the policy on just about any newspaper that has aspirations toward upholding a standard of journalism. The Wall Street Journal. is a notable example. Its editorial positions are well known. The news department acts independently and is not required to vet its stories with the editorial department.
I expect no less of Jeff Bezos. The news articles, especially those written by David Fahrenthold, should be based on facts. They should not reflect his (Fahrenthold's) or Bezos's opinion. Jeff Bezos might encourage his reporters to subject Trump to a higher degree of scrutiny than Trump might find comfortable, but those reporters are not just making things up as they go along.
If the news articles have the appearance of being anti-Trump, then maybe Trump needs to ask himself why that is so. Perhaps there is something about his character {sic} that needs repair.
I am glad that the Washington Post is doing what great newspapers should do.
If the Washington Post were to come into possession of a tape showing HRC being just as bad as Trump was, they should treat it the same way that the tape of Trump was treated. Let the chips fall where they may.
Best wishes.

Mom, I'll be upstairs in a minute.
Gotta go. We're having raspberry Pop-Tarts this morning. I was good this weekend, so I can have two.
On a serious note (it's possible), have you checked your Virginia voter registration? The deadline is the 17th. I'm going to post in the VA group about this.
