Republicans have it smeared all over their soles......and it really, really stinks.

Oxford loafers, cowboy boots, running shoes....no matter the style, the same putrid smell is coming from our "friends across the aisle" who have spent years covering this nation with crap. They created it, stepped in it, spread it around, denigrated the country with it, and now the smells, like chickens, have come back to the Republican National Committee to roost. It will take tractor trailers full of protective crime scene booties for Republicans to try to cover their tracks.

Republicans have obstructed, destroyed,fabricated. They`ve spit on the Constitution. They`ve spread racism, bigotry, prejudice, misogyny, and in some cases, pure hatred. They laugh at science, ignore injustice, scoff at tolerance. They`re neck-deep in crony capitalism. They abhor regulations....unless it comes to designing new ones to suppress votes or control a woman`s reproductive rights. They don`t care if there is lead in the water, children in prisons, money in off-shore accounts or melted ice where the floes used to be.

They`re still pissed off that an African American landed in the White House and that some African Americans had the nerve to take the white kids` seats at Harvard. They`re pissed off that taco trucks are on some corners and that Thai chicken shows up at their county fairs. They want it to be like the "good old days" when ALL of the power was in the hands of those of a certain gender and a certain color. To them, the place has gone to hell with these rainbow flags, defense attorneys and OSHA.

Look at how spineless most all of them were when it came to stopping Donald Trump, even when he insulted a Gold Star mother, even when he mocked a reporter with a chronic disability, even when he called for religious tests and guarantees, even when he denigrated POWs, even when he encouraged torture. The list goes on but I don`t have the stomach for it.

Let Donald Trump captivate the bigots, the misogynists, the I-Like-White folks. Why on earth would we want them spreading crap in our party? Let`s be done with them and concentrate on an honorable message with genuine intent. Let`s demand excellence and hold our Democratic leaders responsible for meeting that goal.
