GOP talking-points for the day after the election:

- "Trump never was a real Republican. A real Conservative would have won this election."

- "Trump never was a real Republican. Donald Trump's ugliness and incompetence is in no way related to the Republican Party."

- "Trump was a real Republican but he lost because his bare-bones campaign failed to communicate the conservative ideals to the voters."

- "We thought Trump was a real Republican but he betrayed the GOP by going off-message."

- "Donald Trump's accusations of a rigged election are a distraction. We have to forget him, his campaign and this election and move on."

- "We have to look forward now. The election-season showed us the many ways in which Hillary Clinton is a bad choice and that's why the Republican Party's number one priority will be to ensure that she's a one-term-President."

- "Hillary Clinton has no mandate because she didn't win 100%, even when running against a clearly flawed candidate like Trump."

- "Hillary Clinton should be a bipartisan President and call some Republicans into her cabinet, because some Republicans dencounced Trump and supported her."

- "Hillary Clinton should be a bipartisan President and nominate a Conservative to the Supreme Court."

Still three weeks left for Trump to keep talking, and we all can see how well that's going for him.

They are going to do what they always do:

* make prettied up declarations like "we are going to do serious soul searching" and how they are going to reach out to women and minorities, etc.

* at the same time, as you highlight, won't take the first lick of responsibility. And while when they win, by smaller margins, they have a MANDATE and ELECTIONS HAVE CONSQUENCES they will do the bullshit rationalizations that you note that it will be on Hillary to be nice to them to "bring the country together" with bullshit like you noted in nominating a conservative to the SC.

* They will IMMEDIATELY set to the rallying point of going after the democratic POTUS to rally their dolts into a united cause.

* The media will gleefully go along with it all.

* The democratic party will pretty much leave Hillary out front and not protect her flanks and let her get savaged.

* The idiots in this country will hear the republicans screaming like children over Hillary and just assume he is in doing something wrong.

* They will perversely give them more power in congress and at the state level.

I know the Trump wing of the GOP will certainly go there.
