I decided to repost the article link up above because I just noticed that another DUer is posting some info that to me does NOT look current.

It is the MERKLEY package that is being considered, not the Udall one. Also, Harry Reid has NOT stated what the new rule will be.

Folks are playing guessing games and it looks like misinformation is floating around DU today.

I heard a commentator say the guys in power always want to change it, the minority doesn't, and the majority knows they'll be the minority again some day, so...

It's a tough one.

..and there had better be near universal support from Democrats. No Blue Dog BS holdouts this time.
