WTF happened to Pat Caddell?

I don't venture much into the sewer that is faux news, but flipped over this afternoon to find him raving on about skewed polls and how this attack on gop headquaters in NC was going to "move the needle". Shit this guy used to work for McGovern and Carter. Did not realize he has gone over to the dark side.

journalist covering the primaries prescient enough to realize that McGovern was going to win against Muskie, because he rode the wave of new politics, organizing at a grass roots level, instead of going it the old way, by garnering what turned out to be meaningless endorsements of dinosaurs like Daley, and his fellow old boy network of senators and congressman, who didn't realize that their days of smoke filled room finagling were soon to end.

the other journos laughed at him all the way up until it became obvious that he was going to be the one (set up for slaughter, unfortunately, in the general)

Damn shame he is not around to cover this campaign, with Ralph Steadman doing the illustrations. It could have been titled: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Revisted - the 2016 Campaign." HST would need massive quantities of Ibogaine to make it through this nightmare!
