WISH-TV/Ball State Hoosier Survey shows Bayh leading Senate race

WISH-Ch 8

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Democrat Evan Bayh holds a solid lead in his effort to win back a U.S. Senate seat.

A new WISH-TV/Ball State Hoosier Survey shows that Bayh is holding up under negative attacks from Republican Todd Young.

Days after Bayh entered the Senate race in July Democrats released an internal poll that showed him with a 26 point lead. It appeared insurmountable at the time and while the race is now a lot closer Bayh is still in control.

His lead in the Hoosier Survey is six. It’s 49 percent to 43 percent but just six percent are undecided. The poll’s margin of error is 3.9 percent.

Yet in 3 weeks we could have a Democratic Governor and two Democratic Senators in the U.S. Senate.

Despite having Hoosier Mike Pence on the ticket, Trump leads here by just a couple of points. Obama won here in 2008. I wish HRC would contest the state. Arizona isn't the only red state ready to turn blue in 2016.

A new Monmouth University poll shows big leads in the race for Indiana Governor.

The poll released on Friday shows Democrat John Gregg with a 50% lead over Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb who has 38%.

Of those polled 4% said they'd vote for Libertarian Rex Bell and 7% remain undecided.

In the race for president, Donald Trump is losing ground with Hoosiers.

After posting an 11 point lead in August, the survey found 45% of likely voters support the Republican nominee, 41-percent are backing Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Nine percent say they'll vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson, 5% are undecided.

Mike Pence only excepted the Trump offer because he was not going to win re-election as Governor. Pence couldn't run for President in 2020 if he lost his governorship in red state Indiana in 2016. The Trump ticket gave him an easy out.

Gregg is even running commercials connecting Holcomb to Pence.

but have lived in Florida the last four years. Voted against Pence for governor right before we moved. It's hard to keep up with some of the races from down here. Is Glenda Ritz running for Education again?

that's why i thought it was stupid for idiots to celebrate when Landrieu and other democrats lost. but i think we know most of them were not democrats anyways.
