"We're going to do a Brexit"
I'm here in the UK and have just seen some BBC coverage of the US Election. Journalist Jon Sopel was in Las Vegas reporting on the upcoming third debate. The usual Trump supporters were there spouting their usual nonsense about how Don the Con is going to save them all blah blah blah etc. Jon Sopel concluded by saying that on average Hillary is 9 points ahead in the polls and that was landslide territory......then he went on to say "but it doesn't feel like it". He ended by saying that the new phrase at Trump rallies is "We're going to do a Brexit" referring to polls in the UK saying that Britain would vote to remain in UK when in fact the opposite was true. It's the polls are wrong rant again.
It's interesting that the UK media is still pushing the Trump can still win angle. Sopel said something could happen at the debate to help Trump and tighten the polls and if there was a "Brexit effect" Trump could win.
I personally don't like Jon Sopel or his style of reporting but I thought I would provide some insight from across The Pond.
Also, what does a landslide "feel" like?
