How many Trump voters cast their ballot for him and skip all downticket races?

I'm starting to sense that we will see a noticeable, perhaps even significant, number of Trump voters who vote for him and leave the rest of the ballot blank.

There is always a small percentage of voters who vote for President and nothing else. I think that number will swell this year, perhaps up to 10%, if not even more. Trump has sown so much discontent between his supporters and almost every other politician that many of his voters will only vote for him and nobody else.

Is anyone else sensing this or am I way off base? Sure, the vast majority of his voters will complete all of their ballot. However, there are going to be plenty who don't.

If his supporters buy into that, then they won't vote for the downticket.

Some might vote by "name recognition" for incumbents though.

Unfortunately with gerrymandering, most House races aren't close.

Given the lopsided polls, a portion of Trump supporters will not bother and just stay home. A different portion will vote for him but no downticket Rs out of spite. Then there are the crossovers, who vote Hillary but R downticket.

It's difficult to estimate what percentage each of these represent. If it's 10/10/10, and Hillary is leading by 10, we'll have a landslide and maybe take the House too. Which would be sweet, because Obamacare needs a major revision and the pubs won't play ball.

They hate the old school type republicans as much as the democrats!

I just ran to the gas station and tuned into the local hate radio station to see what the baggers are saying about the debate.

Hannity was on swearing vengeance against all those conservatives he said "stabbed Trump in the back".

I love watching the Deplorable republican murder/suicide/civil war I must admit!
