There are times when I wish for a literal heaven.

You know like if those who have gone before us are aware and can see what we are doing.

If that were the case, my late mother, the lifelong Democrat who was also a librarian would have seen me today. She would know that her daughters voted today at their local library. She would know that they voted for a Democrat for President, which they have always done. This time she would know that the Democrat they voted for was a woman.

For the woman who raised her children after she became a widow at 46 and persevered it would be a happy moment.

She was a high school librarian and has been gone for 25 years, we still hear from students she influenced. They tell us that she helped them finish school and some what she got them to read.
