2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumChris Cuomo raked Kellyanne Conway over the coals.
She sits with a smile on her face, tilts it coyly to the side, and lies out of both sides of her mouth. She can't answer about Trump's outrageous statement about acceptance of election results and kept trying to bring up the 2000 recount and Al Gore.
Combo wasn't having it. She tried to change the subject and Cuomo stopped her.
She looked like she's been up all night.
They know it's over. What you hear from the Trump crowd from here on out is just making it to Election Day with Trump still vertical. I think it is all about laying the groundwork for Trump TV.
BTW, Kellyanne Conway, formerly Kellyanne Fitzpatrick, goes all the way back to the days of Whitewater. She has been part of the Clinton Hate Machine since the 1990's.

She must spend a fortune on motion sickness medicine... constantly spinning round-and-round has got to be hell.

(13,340 posts)My guess is very little sleep and LOTS of stress.
This was a terrible pyre upon which to hoist her career.

(47,517 posts)I'm sure she is having lots and lots of regrets. She has sold her soul before (i.e. Ted Cruz), but nothing like this. I wonder if she may end up reevaluating her life choices when this is over.

(47,517 posts)She can take a long vacation once this is over. I sure won't miss that perpetual smile of hers.
arthritisR_US
(7,288 posts)I couldn't stand her then and still can't. A vacation in perpetuity would be wonderful!
PatSeg
(47,517 posts)I'd usually fast-forward. She is a like windup talking-points doll. A computer could do a better job and without that fake smile.

(58,785 posts)of the right-wing donor class undoubtedly have noted that Trump's ONLY good periods occurred when he followed her instruction and that at all times she has maintained loyalty and discipline in the service of electing Trump. After all, she's not a candidate -- her career is normally behind the scenes serving these people, and they're the only ones she has to satisfy.
And, notably, we don't actually know what the rest of the Pierces' agenda is and how well she is or is not fulfilling her part in advancing it.

(47,517 posts)payment in advance. I have a feeling a lot of people going to get stiffed after election day.
Interesting point about Pierce's agenda.

(15,222 posts)Seriously, she looks like she hasn't slept in days.
She better watch it. Trump won't like it if his female surrogates are not portraying the appropriate public image.

(5,814 posts)Cuomo did what journalists should have been doing all along. Many of Trump's surrogates treat the media with such contempt and the media has largely let them get away with it. It's nice to finally see some accountability for the deception.

(14,566 posts)We need to support CNN New Day, never again so much as have MSNBC on from 7 am to 9 pm, send e-mails to MSNBC letting them know this is the case until such time as MJ is eliminated.
Cuomo is great, a note to him supporting him would be good, too.

(12,448 posts)I literally cringe whenever I see her spewing her robotic talking points. She has little or no affect...the showing of feeling that normal people have. As someone said, she's like a windup doll.
