They could give a rat's hind end about what is really going on. These folks created this POS and they have to support their creation to the end.

Trump did. Hillary had class. Trump did NOT. The faces of the people and the body language of the cardinal along with the booing show no equivalency between Hillary and tRump.

own expense. When you self deprecate it endears you to the crowd. It did seem like she was on a lot longer than Trashy but I'm not sure that I caught all of Trash's spiel....Trashpot had a few good jokes and regardless of course Hillary did better than Trashheap...that's a given.

He was sitting next to my mom, and about 10 feet from me. I have never seen him lose it like that before or since. Bill Clinton's speech was hilarious, too. It was March 1995, and the Republican takeover of the House was weighing heavily on Clinton's chances for re-election. But Clinton owned the room that night, and Gingrich leaned over to my mom and said something like, "Anyone who thinks this guy is going to be a pushover in the next election is fooling themselves." Clinton was mocking the Republicans' "contract with America" with his "I-Hate-The-Federal-Government-More-Than-You-Do" Contract With America. Al Gore, for what it's worth, told me that night not to worry, that he and Clinton were good bets for re-election, no matter how difficult things looked at that moment. How right he was.

After Hillary's video was shown, a Dutch reporter present wrote about it in a Dutch newspaper. I translated the article for the White House and had my dad deliver it to Mike McCurry, Clinton's press secretary at the time. He wrote back saying how amazed he was that Hillary's spoof connected with the Europeans, as it was such a particularly American theme.

From that memorable night:

that you should make this an OP. It really deserves much more exposure because it is so interesting, timely, well done, and revealing about our candidate. Your part in the story is compelling as well. What an exciting life you've had! Thanks again for sharing. And please make that OP!!

I think had Trump not been so nasty, they would have balanced each other out - however, like everything he goes near, his stank rubbed off on her a bit.

I mean if you listened to hers first, it was a normal type roast, but if you listened to her after Trump, then it came across as a little testy.

But she did the self deprecation perfectly (unlike Trump) and at the end, she really truly brought it home about what the night was all about.

fucking Trump just rattled on about how much money was raised

The statue of liberty joke got some negative reaction in the room as well...not as loud as Trump go, though.

I think the jokes were written by other people and given to them to tell.
