I thank Hillary and Donald for co-starring with Maria Bartiromo's cleavage

tonight at the Al Smith dinner.

In case you have forgotten, she is a right-wing shill, supply-side supporter who had a long affiliation with head of GE, Jack Welch. He is the jerk who started exporting service jobs to India. He said that his idea of the best labor force would be a barge-full of workers one could place off-shore.

Maria has always stridently attacked Occupy Wall Street, bank regulations, etc.

Any thoughts?

When I started college (North Texas) in 1953, the dean of women spoke to incoming freshman girls, said white gloves were so important that if we didn't have any, we should ask her for a pair. Yeah, sure. I don't remember anything else she said, but I sure remember the white gloves.

We weren't allowed to wears jeans, slacks, and certainly not shorts. If we wanted to leave the campus in pants, we had to roll them up and hide them with a skirt.

But she wore them inappropriately. One should not eat with gloves on. One should not shake hands with gloves on. A formal receiving line does not include hand-shaking, therefore gloves are acceptable in one. Gloves should be worn at a formal affair when dancing, but not when drinking or eating refreshments at the "interval" (band break!). That is why some gloves have buttons at the wrist for partaking of light refreshments. But one does not wear gloves at a sit-down dinner. As my very middle-class mom would have said, "She was poorly-raised if she wore gloves at the dinner table". Plus, she was texting at a formal dinner!!!!! Really bad, even for a Gen X'er. But I loved the dress and the 49-year-old breasts so proudly and beautifully displayed. I wish I would look so good in a plunging red dress! My mom would have when she was 49, though. Just sayin'. But the GLOVES!!

The zombie claim that Hillary Clinton was fired during the Watergate inquiry

Finally, here’s the critical piece of evidence unearthed by Crites: the pay records of the Judiciary Committee. Note that Hillary Rodham is paid ($3,377.77) through Sept. 4; two of her more senior colleagues on the impeachment staff, associate special counsel Robert Sack and senior associate special counsel Bernard Nussbaum, were paid through Sept. 2 and Sept. 6, respectively. The committee’s impeachment report was published Aug. 20, and the staff’s work was done by early September.

In other words, Clinton was not fired.

I like to pretend concern with sexism is simply being prudish as well. It let's us trivialize a concern without addressing it in meaningful way. It validates our biases and allows us the pretense of cleverness as well. It's a solid win/win for the likes of us, regardless of the grade school petulance of "whoopied fuckin doo..." we use in place of rational thought.

When somebody posts that "women have body parts," it is a red flag. It to me says the person making the comments THINKS women ARE nothing but a bunch of body parts.

Feminism is not "prudery," and those who try and claim it prove feminists' point about the harms of porn. It has to do with the dehumanization of half of the human race just so the other half can get hard. Women are not body parts to masturbate to. Maria is not a collection of body parts.

Maria's breasts are less the issue than the fact her clothing is grossly inappropriate for a fundraiser of this sort. This low-rent Sophia Loren wannabe should have been sent home.

I like to pretend sexism is everything and thus any comment I disagree with is inherently sexist. It lets me make a mountain out of a molehill without addressing anything meaningful. It validates my bias that everything is sexist and allows me the pretense of being better/smarter than others. It's a solid win/win regardless of how high one's nose has to go up in the air in place of rational thought that my personal definition of sexism might not be everyone's.

Of course that would require reasonableness and the ability to understand you aren't always right. But hey, you got to include some grade school petulance of your own with your needlessly belittling comment.

See how easy that was?

Replace the term sexist with racist.

Bet you wouldn't do it.

Men truly are clueless about women and women's rights.

The one poster actually accused critics of being "prudes." This is classic mansplaining trying to tell women to shut up because the person has no argument. This is the 1970s "argument" by those who think porn and prostitution are a-okay by trying to shut women up who say they are not. Never mind the fact women aren't body parts and men have NO right to women's bodies without women's consent. Porn and prostitution are not "consent." The "prude" card is always played by these mostly guys because they think they are entitled to women's bodies, even if that entitlement involves human rights abuse, which both porn and prostitution are.

I have been around quite a few years, and I KNOW how sexist men on the so-called "left" are. In many ways they are worse than those on the right. There are issues like the two I mentioned that are truly non-partisan. Sexism also is non-partisan.

The fact is this guy upthread had NO argument at all. He just tried to shut women up.

We will NOT shut up.

BTW, I am not a "social justice warrior."

Now at Fox Business, she hosts her show opposite AM Joe and CNN's New Day - and Fox News "curvy couch show."

After jumping ship to a class operation like Fox, I guess she dropped the sexist moniker of "money honey." There is no question she drank the Fox network Kool-Aid. She is as unwatchable as anything else on Fox propaganda networks.

More likely, seats were assigned beforehand, really. If I were a woman, I probably would have chosen something less revealing for that particular event, but I'm not, and I'm not that particular woman, either.

I couldn't help but look at her most of the time. She looks great, even if her gloves were too big.

Clinton looked great too. I love her in pink. The rhodolite necklace was lovely. Now Madam President needs some rhodolite earrings. Bill, Hillary's birthday is coming up.
