(10,500 posts)I have been concerned about losing that electoral vote.
I am glad that she seems to be pulling back ahead.

(13,570 posts)2nd district northern Maine has gone increasingly red with mills closing and younger people moving away. Dems, sadly, have also done a pretty crappy job of campaigning well to their concerns and culture up there. Sadly, the population in northern Maine has become old, and many towns are quickly drying up and blowing away. And too many people up there refuse to change. They are living way in the past. So rural northern Maine has gone for LePage and many are for Trump.
It is good that we have pulled a little ahead. To win, we need young people and women, especially younger single women, to turn out in large numbers. Working class women will be very key to winning the district. The Dems are working hard to turn them out. Also need big Dem turnout in the larger towns and cities in the 2nd district where there are more Dems.
