WTF? MSNBC Has Al Smith Audience Booing Hillary as Loudly as Trump?

Just saw the opening of Andrea Mitchell's show. Two clips from last night were shown - Trump's "crooked Hillary/Watergate commission" joke and Hill's Statue of Liberty joke. In both instances, the audience was heard to react unfavorably.

I have seen the Hillary clip at least 10 times, and this was the first time I heard the audience reacting poorly. There were no outright boos as there were for Trump, but this playing of this video had a much higher gain on the audience reaction, almost like their sound was boosted. That made any groans much more present than they were during the event or in any other airings of this clip I have seen up to now.

Is this an attempt to create a false equivalency, to make it seem like the audience reacted equally badly to Hillary as they did to Trump? Seems like it.

This had to have happened in the production room Andrea uses.

I would not be the least bit surprised if she altered the news footage to fit her bias. She stopped being a "journalist" a long time ago.

6. I noticed some murmuring after the first half of that joke...but laughter after the second half.

If a microphone was placed in a different part of the room, they might have picked up more of the murmurs, etc.

Hillary's very pointed joke about Trump's disregard for the statue's symbolism of freedom, enlightenment, and welcome. Approving a hard hit, not booing.
