Early voting lines are so long, people are fainting. That harms democracy

In Georgia some voters had to wait over two hours to cast their ballot in the heat. We need to make it easier for citizens to have their say – not harder

To the surprise of few and the consternation of many, thousands of voters in Georgia waited for hours to cast their vote during the state’s first two days of early voting. Is this a harbinger of the voting difficulties to come in this election?

In four of the most populous counties in the state, Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Cobb, Georgians have been forced to wait for over two hours to vote, and in Gwinnett County at least three people collapsed while waiting in line due to heat exhaustion.

They'll stop at nothing.
I detest them now more than ever. More than words can even say.

where we're not allowed to vote in person. We have to mail in ballots, and they usually get thrown in the trash. I'd rather spend time and know my vote counted than to have the country admit to not counting my votes.

up here in mass, I voted in person last week in less than 5 minutes at my town clerks office. I just answered a few questions, filled out the envelopes, and was handed a ballot.

No lines. No fuss.
