(58,785 posts)I could be wrong, but I always suspected he was behind the plagiarism. There was no professional speechwriter, and, even with a D-grade staff, which of them would have been clueless enough to copy Michelle's speech for Melania's? That was a classic donaldtrumpster fire. Until proven otherwise, I'll go with my impression that he was speaking up for his wife as much as he could.

Marla Maples was 36 when he divorced her. Married 6 years.
Melania is 46 they've been married 11 years.

So yeah, I thought he told two decent jokes and the rest of his speech was a shit sando.
