If Rubio loses we gain a senate seat and Rubio can't run against HRC in 2020. NT aaaaaa5a Oct 2016 #8
There would nothing stopping Rubio from running in 2020 Lochloosa Oct 2016 #9
No rule that would stop him but the loss of his Florida senate race would be a big blow. nt stevenleser Oct 2016 #10

Others have shown him with a big lead. The Dems pulled out thinking it was unwinnable. Might want to rethink that.

Trump has no path without florida
Trump has no path without North Carolina
Trump has no path without Pennsylvania
Trump has no path without Ohio.

Trump has no path.

talking about all the things Rubio said about the maggot "AND YOU'RE STILL SUPPORTING HIM?" dangerous, con man etc

I think that helped & hopefully Hillary gives Murphy an infusion with a landslide.

If Rubio loses this race, his 2020 prospects are over.

Pence was going to be in a tough re-election fight for his governorship in Indiana. (In fact his Dem opponent is currently winning the governors race).

If Pence were to run for re-election and lose, there would be no way for him to mount a serious charge for the Presidency in 2020. So he chickened-out of the race and jumped on the Trump ticket instead.

Now, when the Trump ticket goes down in a few weeks, he is in an excellent position for 2020 and he doesn't have that likely Indiana governors loss on his record.

Trump is going to damage their brand for the next 16 years.

Rubio was their future. If he cannot win his own state he is permanently damaged.

Doesn't matter if Hillary wins Ohio or not.
She can not help Strickland in Senate race. Portman has big lead.

But, Hillary winning Trumps "second home" and Murphy bearing Rubio would be huuuuge!!!!

The future of our party is "gulp" (I can't believe I'm saying this) the south. VA, NC, and Georgia are moving our way more quickly than we think.

OH is not the end all be all like it use to be. WE DON'T NEED IT TO WIN.

It's time to update our strategy.

HRC's poll numbers are better in FL than they are in OH. There better in NC too. And with a good investment in FL, (and NC) we could pick up a senate seat too. FL is worth more on than OH on the Presidential level. NC is worth almost as much. Plus NC is growing at a fast rate. In 2020 NC will pick up electoral votes. OH will lose electoral votes.

If the GOP wants to trade IA and OH for VA, NC, FL and possibly GA I'm all for it.

The blue wall is moving south!

Florida, and that's really good news. Hoping for a blue light-up in Florida as early as possible the evening of Nov. 8th.

And very encouraging numbers for Murphy versus Rubio. That would be a splendid victory to have to add to a blue Senate majority.
