Reuters projects Clinton to win with 326 electoral votes

Hillary Clinton is on pace for a big win over Donald Trump on Election Day, according to the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation study released Saturday.

The study projects Clinton to win 326 electoral votes to Trump’s 212, and says she would have a 95 percent chance of winning if the election were held this week.

That's low. My guess is she'll be in the high 300s, with a remote chance of breaking 400 George II Oct 2016 #6

has it 339-198. The NY Times has it 323-215. The Princeton Election Consortium has it 336-202. And other predictions I've seen have similar electoral college numbers.

That's if she doesn't swing Arizona or Georgia, which are both in play at the moment. Also, Trump is Looking like he'll lose in Utah to McMullin.

I predict Trump will lose either like Barry Goldwater or Alf Landon.

In truth, he should not carry a single state.

The notion that a candidate so UNBELIEVABLY unqualified for the presidency could get 212 electoral votes in our country is not only appalling, it sends a signal to the rest of the world that we are a nation, holding enormous reserves of wealth and destructive might, where 40% of our citizens would have been willing to send a boorish, ignorant oaf to the Oval Office.

Although a tally of 326 electoral votes is obviously enough to send Trumppence packing, it is nowhere near enough to reassure the rest of the world that sane people are overwhelmingly dominant in our country.

I'm in a different country practically every day for work, and since Palin (or, actually, Dan Quayle), I'm sick and tired of Republicans forcing candidates on us that not only make us look like infantile mental midgets, but scare the living shit out of the rest of the world that we could some day actually vote in such a person as our president. They know full well that we choose our candidates through the primary system. Therefore, both our candidates win their candidacies by popular demand. What kind of country are we where such people as Palin, Trump and Pence enjoy popular demand on that scale? It's an apology I'm sick and tired of making.

Yes, Hillary will win, but it is still some kind of scary to know that over 50 million adult American voters will be sorry to hear that Trump did not.
