2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI suspect at least one deep red state will end up in Hillary's column. Guesses?
I am not talking about a state like AZ which has always been light red. I am talking about states that are usually solid Republican where Romney won by like 15 pts. These are a few that are very tight right now:
Texas
Georgia
Indiana
Utah
South Carolina
If you had to guess which one the polling is just slightly off or will trend to Hillary in the final days, which would it be?

(34,136 posts)And I'm kinda hoping it does. Think of how pissed Trump would be to lose to someone who barely is known to the rest of the country! Trump would forever detest Mormons for an insult like that.

(34,136 posts)That's pretty outrageous! No telling what it will be by November 8, though.
Speculation about a state I've never seen is more fun than worrying about my own state, Florida. I just want Florida to go blue, and Rubio to lose big time.

that's more than she's ahead in NV or NC or FL
I'm putting it in the more than likely category
the others....Georgia looks to be the best bet at this point, but there could be a tsunami gathering
wishful thinking, but this country deserves not to be run into the ditch again, as it was sixteen years ago

(3,063 posts)AZ is light blue now on the electoral map.

(27,787 posts)...and if she wins even ONE of these states ... there is no debate ... this is a landslide ... a mandate ... a refutation of the GOP.

(841 posts)I don't know enough about the Utah situation to say, although that is another possibility if Trump and McMullin split the conservative vote.

(3,212 posts)Heard on the radio a couple of days ago that Trump was leading, but within the margin of error. I'm afraid I don't remember which polling company.

Indiana, Arizona and Georgia are best guess in order.
Remember IN has voted for Obama in 2008 so that is best guess.

(348 posts)I hope we get AZ for sure. I'd love to see something crazy like Alaska, too.
I want McMullin to win Utah - to send a message to the Republican party that the Branch Trumpidians were WRONG.

(1,264 posts)and many men as well who have told pollsters, their friends, families and partners that they are voting for Trump because of the peer pressure from those around them, who will then vote for Clinton in the privacy of the voting booth.
But to answer your question, I think Texas will turn blue, due to what I said above.
