All that is missing is a leash - even the neck line of her dress is somewhat evocative of a dog collar, at least within the context of this picture. The picture says everything about the power differentiation in that TV relationship. Very disturbing.

Sometimes I think she is just there to help Joe promote his macho image by having him shout her down the 1 or 2 times per week she even has a relevant point.

I have a friend who calls her "Meek-A" instead of Mika.

And I don't mind saying this... For a woman who is suppose to be "all about pay equality" I don't think her actions on the show often do a real good job promoting women equality in the work place.


If I were a producer or TV news exec, and I saw a segment like the one above.... "Why the heck would I pay Mika the same as everyone else?"

that Mika is supposed to be a Democrat and I was shocked.
