Hannity Hypes Interview With Man National Inquirer Called Clinton's 'Fixer'

Sean Hannity spent 17 minutes of his Fox News show Monday night talking to a man nicknamed "Mr. Fix It," a demure figure who claimed to have paid off tabloid journalists in the '90s to soften articles about the Clintons. Jeff Rovin, the subject of what Hannity called “a 16 month investigation” by the supermarket tabloid National Enquirer into what Rovin claims was his role “fixing” tricky political situations for the Clintons, mostly appeared regretful that stories he described as “salacious” and “hyperbolic” were making such a large impact on this year's presidential election.

“Was there a sort of a subtle threat given?” Hannity asked eagerly of the journalists Rovin claimed to have worked with. “A sort of, ‘you’re going to shut up now’? That’s a serious question!”

“Most of the time it was just money, no threats,” Rovin replied.

When Hannity asked if he would divulge any of the stories he claims to have spoken to Hillary Clinton about, Rovin demurred.

“I’d rather not at this point,” he said sheepishly.

“This is a big part of the story,” Hannity insisted. “This is important.”

“Yeah,” Rovin admitted, before changing the topic.

“Was there ever threats, if you either knock it off or break your legs? I watch a lot of movies,” Hannity said.

Rovin insisted again that there weren't any such threats.

“There was an open marriage with the Clintons?" Hannity probed.

“So it’s been said,” Rovin replied, frustrating the host.

Hannity appeared deflated. His primetime interview with Rovin had slowly become less about the Clintons and more about just how little it takes to get a story on the front page of the Inquirer, a tabloid that months ago gave Trump what is still one of his only editorial page endorsements, and that published a bonkers, unsubstantiated story amplified by Trump ahead of the Iowa caucuses that Sen. Ted Cruz's father (R-TX) was somehow tied to the Kennedy assassination.

Anything but BS to offer so they whine. A RWer complained CNN and MSNBC did not talk about the emails, of course she only listens to the FOX lies. I informed her I listen to both and there is lots of email discussions. Trump lies and whines, I cannot imagine how he would handle the abuse Hillary or Obama gets everyday, there would not be enough Twitter time for him to complain.

Instead of offering up a solid candidate running on real issues
they run straight towards bullshit conspiracy theories, lies
and the worst possible candidates for public service that ever could be.
Republicans deserve all the loss that's coming their way.
