If the emails were not sent from her server, and was between Huma and her husband, how does this play into the email server investigation, and whether or not it was classified? Let's say Hillary sent a classified email to Huma directly (which she didn't - they had a different system for that), and then Huma would forward that to Anthony Weiner? And if that were the case, Huma could forward from any server, and Hillary is not to blame (I don't think Huma did that either). So what's the connection? I don't get it at all.

As Hillary said - "we don't know, that's why it's incumbent on the FBI to fill in the blanks."
We'll have to ask Comey. He'll probably answer a few months from now, after purposefully creating this cloud of suspicion to boost Trump's chances (or at least downballot races).

(4,178 posts)Huma and Wiener shared a device. Hillary sent emails to Huma. In searching Weiner's emails the FBI found emails from Hillary.
I have heard the FBI needs a warrant to search Huma's emails. I also heard no,they don't.
If they do need a warrant,I think Loretta Lynch should be sure they don't get it because the investigation was about Hillary's use of her private server. That is not involved in this.

(364 posts)I think they are going to see if any of the emails sent by Hillary were classified (not just if she is allowed to use the server), and if she sent to Huma and it was on another device, that is part of the investigation since these might be new emails.
I thought I heard that these are not emails from Hillary's email server. But I think what I misunderstood is that "None of the emails were withheld by HRC earlier". By this standard, there may be any number of people have devices who got emails directed to their phones etc and technically the investigation can never be over.

(364 posts)I am a software engineer, and it seems so apparent to me that Hillary had no more technical expertise than my mom.
I also see this from AP: BREAKING: US official: Newly discovered emails related to Clinton investigation did not come from her private server. https://twitter.com/AP_Politics/status/792076589190316032
Does that not contradict what you are saying?
