2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe My Pillow guy is a Trump supporter
http://www.gomn.com/news/the-mypillow-guy-is-a-trump-supporter/Someone posted a thread a couple of weeks ago noting he advertised on both Fox and MSNBC. He may, but he supports the racist shitbag.
And hes endorsing Donald Trump for president.
Lindell will make a speech at the Trump rally in Washington D.C. on Sunday, where 10,000 people are expected to show up.

Apparently Lindell had a private meeting with Trump and realized he is not the person many people think he is, a spokesperson for Lindell told GoMN.
They added that he thinks we should be talking about Trumps success as a businessman and what he will do for the economy and our inner cities.
In an interview earlier this summer at the Republican National Convention, Lindell said he has an entrepreneur brand company and wants to keep it that way rather than government get involved in so many things.
His pillow sucks anyway. It's nothing but ripped up foam.

Also, he looks a lot like Larry Sabato.

(14,856 posts)... they can't be that great.
The narcissism in his commercials, although not as severe as Trump's, is off-putting to me as well. Tell me why the product is supposedly good... not your life story, pal.

(15,805 posts)This guy sells pillows made out of foam scraps that come off mattresses. He is just recycling foam waste from the shop floor and stuffing the chopped bits into a zippered pillow case. Waste of money unless you like lumpy, bumpy pillows with a filler that constantly shifts out from under your head. It was a ripoff; a scam. No wonder he likes Trump!

(14,856 posts)... he uses when trying to sell those pillows?
That was a warning flag for me right away! He spends too much time in the commercials talking about his alleged humble beginnings instead of describing the product! He obviously knows that many Americans are still in love with the "rags to riches" narrative, and that alone will make many customers biased in his favor.

(5,578 posts)that you dont want "the government involved in so many things" by publically announcing you hereby renounce US Government patent protection for your "entrepreneur brand" for past, present and future items you invent.
If you are unwilling to do this, then STFFU.
Edit. I too have been looking for a better pillow and have given thought to your product. As soon as you renounce pat protection I will buy one.

(50,303 posts)I'm also suspicious of the offer to give you a second one for free. With all those returned pillows, it seems like a great way to dispose of them. He's probably a Trump fan because he admires him as the ultimate scamster.
He always seemed shady. I figured he might be a right-winger, because so many on Con message boards shilled for those pillows.

(131 posts)But wanted to check reviews first, glad I did, they were beyond terrible. A bag of foam does not a pillow make right, so I wondered why The National Sleep Foundation would endorse it like the commercial claims but not sell it on their website...? I found this article written in 2014 & updated twice in 2016.
& I'm not at all surprised this guy is a trump supporter, he's a total con artist just like trump

(14,856 posts)I don't feel like I "need" to have down-filled pillows, but I prefer them.
Given the good insulation of down, I worried they'd keep my head too hot when I first bought them, but that hasn't been the case at all. They actually seem to keep my head cooler than most pillows I've tried. Heat is the big sleep-killer for me.

(3,635 posts)Trump isn't a standard conservative or Republican, and supporting him isn't a normal political opinion.
Trump is a dangerous ethno-nationalist con-artist who represents an existential threat to democracy itself, and anyone who supported him must be held to account.

(10,893 posts)of his MyPillow even before finding out his politics. Ever since my Sobakawa Cloud Pillow went flat, I've been looking for a new pillow that is more durable and won't give me headaches. So I saw the MyPillow commercial, and I checked the Amazon reviews on the MyPillow before buying one. The posters let Mike and his pillow have it in the comments. I was almost suckered into thinking "what could go wrong?" because of the money-back guarantee and the 10 year warranty, but I'm glad I saw the people who spread the word about the cheap material in the pillows, and I'm glad I read this thread and the suggestion about the memory foam pillow.

(17,136 posts)OAKLAND (CBS SF) Ten California district attorneys led by Alameda County D.A. Nancy OMalley Monday announced an approximately $1 million settlement of allegations that a Minnesota pillow company engaged in false and misleading advertising.
The district attorneys sued My Pillow Inc. of Chaska, Minnesota, last Wednesday in Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland and filed a stipulated settlement, reached with the cooperation of the company and its attorneys, on the same day.
The lawsuit alleged the company conducted false and misleading advertising by claiming, without any reliable scientific evidence, that the foam pillows could help people suffering from fibromyalgia, insomnia, migraines, sleep apnea, snoring and restless leg syndrome.
It goes on to indicate that they advertise themselves as the "official bed pillow" of the National Sleep Foundation, but My Pillow has an undisclosed financial relationship with the National Sleep Foundation.
