The Harry Reid you may not be aware of.

Meek, mild, timid Harry Reid, right? Who would be afraid of him?

Well, it turns out Senator Reid is quite the fearless bad Mother Fucker. From '77-'81 he ran the Nevada gaming commission and just about singly ran the mob out of Las Vegas, at great personal risk to himself and his family.

And with him retiring, I have a feeling he's not holding back for anything. Let it rip Harry!

He's a boxer from a small town in Nevada -- Searchlight.

He has always been a deeply serious person. And good for him now!

Every time John McCain tried to attach a ban on college sports wagering in Nevada to an obscure bill. McCain was sure he could catch Harry Reid either absent or asleep at the switch, but it never happened. Many of us remain grateful.

You'll never doubt Harry Reid's determination once you visit Searchlight and see how tiny and removed it really is. I always shook my head in disbelief every time I drove through Searchlight on the way to Laughlin from Las Vegas.
