CNBC: FBI:Russia is trying to undermine election but thought it was too close to election to say so.

"FBI Director James Comey argued privately that it was too close to Election Day for the United States government to name Russia as meddling in the U.S. election and ultimately ensured that the FBI's name was not on the document that the U.S. government put out, a former FBI official tells CNBC."

close to the election for it to be revealed. Quite informative.

If we had the media that the conservatives do, this would be breaking news on every channel.

Putin must think it would be great to get drumph under his charm with a few praises.

He would be a perfect useful idiot.

And don't think our corporate overloads would not sell us out. Well, most of them.

I've been honestly physically sick over this all day - and then I see the tweet from CNBC about Russia and I swear, I could FEEL my blood pressure spike.

What in the ever loving hell is going on? And to be most surreal - while CNBC is tweeting this breaking news, another reporting is tweeting the Trump stump speech and he's praising Putin and saying all Clinton does is criticize him/Russia.

Seriously.

Because that's what I feel like we are collectively experiencing. Nothing makes sense. Trump endures almost daily political career ending scandals and it's like the whole memory of those has faded to nothing. Meanwhile, who you think is good turns out to be protecting the KGB instead of the US. This situation is seriously, seriously upside down now.

Pretty fucking ironic.

The media love a good fall-from-grace story. Of course it's an important news story as well, but his two-faced-ness makes this the kind of news story that actually gets attention. Wouldn't it be great if his trying to influence the election turns out to influence it the other way?

The Trump campaign to praise him, so when he drops the hammer on them for working with the Russians to influence the Election they will be on the record. I don't think someone who stood up to the Bush Administration is now working with the Repubs, but is bending over backwards not to freak out the American people.

inappropriate manner -- in fact in a manner we haven't seen in modern times. Unless Comey releases the shit about Trump and Russia NOW (still inappropriate). Who cares if he stood up to Bush? He has done something so entirely out of the norm by interfering in this election that he should be fired, fined, permanently disgraced, etc etc. A Trump presidency is WAY MORE DANGEROUS than some people seem to think -- Russian ties, a destroyed Supreme Court, etc

He knowingly and willfully inserted himself into the political limelight in order to disrupt, basically knowing he would take the fall for his illegal actions in doing so. He probably figures after stepping down, some RW bigwig will give him a fat paycheck to live off of, like they always do for sacrificial lambs, such as himself.

The only problem is now, he has disgraced his office and put a face to governmental corruption for generations to see.

"The U.S. intelligence community is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of emails from U.S. persons and institutions, including from U.S. political organizations. ... These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the U.S. election process."

I don't think they are talking about Dems.
