And Jill Stein and the Greens sure aren't it.

For now, I'm looking to Elizabeth Warren to lead the charge. And we can't let the White House fall into the hands of a Republican in the meantime.

The horseshoe theory in political science asserts that rather than the far left and the far right being at opposite and opposing ends of a linear political continuum, they in fact closely resemble one another, much like the ends of a horseshoe. The theory is attributed to French writer Jean-Pierre Faye

The greens there are well-organized and highly involved in local politics, and the city is better for it. Madison has three major parties -- Democratic, Green, and a local party that is essentially a democratic socialist party. They make each other better.

That all said, the "mainstream" (if you want to call it that) Green exists solely as a vehicle for privileged people to throw a temper tantrum every four years and masquerade it as social activism. Jill Stein and her ilk are mendacious Trump surrogates. Pixie Dust Paul was probably assured a spot in the Kremlin to say this crap. It's the only way she'll ever hold office.
