Quinnipiac: Obama Leads in Three Key Swing States, would be re-elected today

A new Quinnipiac poll finds President Obama leading Mitt Romney in three crucial swing states.

Florida: Obama 49%, Romney 42%

Ohio: Obama 47%, Romney 41%

Pennsylvania: Obama 45%, Romney 42%

Said pollster Peter Brown: "President Obama is on a roll in the key swing states. If the election were today, he would carry at least two states. And if history repeats itself, that means he would be re-elected."

The R state legislature is doing everything they can to stymie new voter registration - down over 81,000 voters from 2008 presidential election - an important demographic for Obama then.

I think Rubio is toxic after the Rubio-Blunt amendment - but I don't live in Florida....

there are plenty of teabaggers that will certainly support him. But - his lying on his bio will be a distraction.

I think overall, those that vote for him are more voting against Obama (or any Dem for that matter). He will definitely draw the Cuban vote - but that is in the R's pocket anyway.

So - I don't think it would sway many voters here one way or the other.

I think the real question is, does Rubio want to be associated with Romney. Or save that effort for 2016 when the R's should have more of a chance than they do this year. He is certainly young enough to wait 4 years.

The usual voter registration groups aren't even participating in Florida because of the new rules.

Dems will have to work hard to get as many people to the polls as possible.

You'd think the poll numbers would be reversed.
