Do Republicans remember that their scandal machine didn't really hurt Bill Clinton?

Apart from jamming up Congress with all their Whitewater and Blue Dress investigations, Bubba remained popular throughout his presidency.

What do they think they will gain from firing it up again for Hillary as they clearly have done?

Also, I think we forgot their "throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks" approach to allegations they used with Clinton since they stuck to so few themes with Obama: Muslim, Socialist, who doesn't kill enough people, and is black.

wall to wall TV coverage of the impeachment.

I remember the government shutdown... and the money I lost because contractors were never offered any compensation for being out of work.

I remember all of that very well... it's when I changed from simply disagreeing with Republicans to hating them.

It hurt the country just as their obstruction of President Obama has. They don't care about even doing the necessary business of government. We have to vote those people out of office.

We need to really get behind Hillary when the first inevitable Investigative Shit Show (tm) happens. If we support her, and let her smack back at these obstructive assholes, it can let them know there are consequences for their actions.

The Republicans seem to have a problem with taking the consequences for their misdeeds. The talking yam is the most blatant example, that <expletive deleted> has NEVER suffered the consequences for anything in his entire life, seemingly. It's always the fault of someone else.

Remember when Hillary dinged him about his taxes? He said "Why didn't you do anything about the laws that let me do it?"

That's the way he thinks.

And he wants to be the President of the United States of America???

And there are a sizable number of people that are voting for him???

even though you embedded their real purpose in your post.

Apart from jamming up Congress

Their real purpose since Reagan is to prevent the government from basically doing anything other than fighting wars and spying on people, while bowing down to the corporate money gods.

Yes they intend, once again or more accurately they intend to continue gumming up the governing process with endless investigations and political attacks for the duration of Hillary's term.

Republicans have been investigating Hillary for 4 years already.
If they continue after she is elected, they will lose in the midterms
because people will be sick and tired of them constantly going after her.
