I am so grateful to all the people standing in long lines in order to vote.
In my precinct, voting during the day, I never had more than a dozen people in front of me. Over decades.
And now in Washington we have mail-in voting for everyone. We just fill out ballots at home and stick them in the mail or in a special ballot box.
So when I see voters standing in lines with dozens of people in front of them, or hear of people standing in line for more than an hour, I am in AWE.
You should NOT have to do this. These long lines are a form of voter suppression. But I am so grateful to all the stubborn Americans who are determined to vote no matter what.

Heroes, every one of them. We did VBM Wednesday night here in California but I share your admiration for the boundless commitment of those wonderful people. (Plus +1,000 if they're Democrats!)
