2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumGod help the Green Party if Hillary loses by a very close margin
The latest nationwide polls sho Stein is pulling in about 2% of the votes and Johnson about 5%. It is hard to know which way Johnson's voters would go if he were not in the race. On the other hand, there is no question if their were no Green Party candidate, Stein's voters would not be voting for Trump, at least not the sane ones.
In a very close election, that 2% could make all of the difference. I personally believe that there is no way it is going to be that it will be that close. Green Party officials had better hope I am right because, 3rd parties are like bees; when they sting they die.

(5,648 posts)They conveniently forget that the first principle of progressives is to protect and defend those among us who cannot protect themselves.
Bottom line: They are selfish and self possessed. They are probably reasonably well off people who can survive a Trump Presidency. They have no consideration for those for whom a Trump Presidency would be an unmediated disaster.
I leave them to wallow in their self righteousness.
