Voter Supression NC

CNN is doing a piece about NC voter supression. It is happening! I live in Madison County, NC. In 2010 the census reports approx 21,000 residents. The county is about 90% white. We voted early and had 4 polling spots to choose from. Guilford County had 465,000 +- population in 2010 and had an african-american population of around 33%. I heard there was ONE voting site open during the first week of early voting...ONE! I AM LIVID! GOP Governor Pat McCrory and his klan ie Richard Burr, have been a complete disgrace to this state...I am ashamed. Between his bathroom bill to help protect us from the "hoards" of transgenders using the unassigned restrooms, (I can't even believe I just had to write that one) to this blatant voter suppression effort, and the rampant redistricting measures, we must get on top of this nonsense. VOTER SUPPRESSION IS THE QUINTESSENTIAL DEFINITION OF "RIGGING" AN ELECTION. NC WAKE UP!

So a county of a million people has one location and a county of 10,000 people has one location. Who do we think that benefits?

Call Election Protection and ask if they are doing anything to address.

It may be too late to add polling locations, but perhaps they can get a court order to ensure there are more than enough booths (or whatever) so that at least there aren't long lines.

Can't hurt to try.

Not sure if a call from an out-of-stater would have the same impact.

That happened during the first week of early voting here. The NAACP is all over this here...but I feel sick to my stomach that the GOP got away with this. And watching these lines across America where people are waiting 3-4 hours to vote is just absurd. I guess they realised they were never going to win another presidential election above board so they have to try any kind of despicable tactic to try and tack up a failing party that no one wants to go to anymore...Trump is good for one thing...perhaps the wake-up call to an outdated political dinosaur party has arrived.
