I periodically google for info from here in California, but the NM coverage of the race is pretty sparse.

I am heartened for Denise by the positive Hillary polling results there and the early vote advantage. Fingers crossed!

I hear Sarah Palin recommends the "Johnny Choos."

Bad for federal public lands and the environment, great for extraction industries. Bad for labor, great for Republican 'right to work' goals. And the opponent is backed by both the Koch brothers and ALEC. Scary!

And New Mexico is a state that almost no one pays attention to. I do hope she wins her race.

As I mentioned above, you can't find decent coverage of the race even in New Mexico. Even though it involves crucial public lands/sagebrush rebellion issues.

Fingers crossed for Denise!

I love it here for many reasons.

It is both good and bad that this state is sufficiently small in numbers to be irrelevant to the national media. Of course, like every state, the actual state house and state senate races matter.

Denise has been funding her effort mostly out of her own pocket, with some help from local supporters and some of us here.

She's happy to make that financial sacrifice--but it really would be nice to lessen the financial burden on her.
