narrative that dominates everytime anyone accomplishes anything. Award shows, elections, etc. in 2016 seem to strictly be about someone being the "first person of color to..." or "only the 8th woman to...", with very little attention paid to the actual internal qualities/capabilities of the person that earned them that victory.

I predict a backlash against this, and 100 years from now, we'll be less focused on someone's gender/race and more focused on their internal qualities.

We all lived through them hoping the first AA president would fail...I'll be damned if I sit back and let them crap on the first female president just because they can't get through their right wing bs!
