240+ years of American history, and the one constant is conservatives and racism, sexism, and every other ism you can imagine.

The code for that agenda was always "political correctness."

It was done in the 50's with the John Birch Society.

They could change their policies to those they followed in the 1950's under Eisenhower.

They would have to tell the religious right to take a hike.

Then, they would then have to ask their elected officials to retire and run women and minorities for offices.

Parties change, so it could happen.

I won't hold my breath.

Their districts are so gerrymandered that any deviation from what hasn't been working for them will be met by primary challenges. The only hope they have is to treat the right wing propaganda machine for rabies and get them to start indoctrinating the base to be more inclusive. I don't see that happening either. They made this shit pie and are going to chew it to electoral purgatory. Maybe in a generation they can change......?

Changing the racism problem is a generational project. But as they see for the third national election that they can not win the White House, the Republican party will change of spin toward irrelevance.
