Must organize to put an end to lines.

The lines across the nation are intolerable.

They are the definition of voter suppression. If we tolerate lines, we might as well bring back the poll tax.

It shouldn't be a partisan issue, but clearly the Republican Party is all for voter suppression. So, we have to look to the Dems and each other.

Perhaps a place for DUrs to start is lobbying skinner to open a Stop Voter Suppression Main discussion where we can post and find ways to support existing efforts, or work together to organize new ones.

In a nation that purports to have "free and fair elections," I can't think of anything more basic.

Voter suppression is viewed by many Republicans as a tool to be used. As far as I am concerned, using those kinds of tools should land you in jail.

there really isn't much excuse for long lines in those 30 some states that make it easy to do.

There are some early and absentee voting states, where it does not work quite as well. Then, there are states like Michigan and Pennsylvania where there is no early voting.

In any event, voting at a polling place should be a thing of the past for most people.
