2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThank you, Howard Dean
As of now, you seem to be the only Democrat who has enough balls to say that you will not capitulate to Trump. So, thank you for that. Maybe you could make a few phone calls to some of your friends in Congress to see why on gawd's green earth they are so willing to work with a child rapist and bigot

(20,998 posts)...the election loss is now being laid at Bernie's feet, because, you know, he had the audacity to run against Hillary in the primaries. Further, things he brought up in the primaries were used again by Trump...no matter all of Hillary's negatives (perceived and otherwise) have been part of the public conversation for years... but it's all Bernie's fault.
I bet Bernie even talked Hillary into using her own private email server against the advice and counsel of, well, EVERYONE.
And I would not doubt that Bernie made Hillary call Trump supporters "deplorables."
Yes, let's throw this at Bernie's feet.

(9,601 posts)Why on earth will any self respecting Democratic politician work with Republicans and trump/ just so the Democratic party can share the blame when everything goes south? Be smart Democratic Politicians, if the GOP wants to drive off the cliff do not go along for the ride.

(54,448 posts)I also do not believe Trump has a mandate to assume the office of president. He has some statistics provided by Republican-manufactured and run electronic voting machines. Those statistics say he gets more electoral votes than Hillary, so under our system, if those statistics are (again) not challenged, then Trump gets to assume office (worse yet, so does Pence).
But capitulate? Nope. I like Howard plenty, but I don't kiss his feet, and if I won't kiss his, then I sure as hell won't kiss Trump's.
