Do you think the Republicans and the Democrats should be working in a bi-partisan way?

Obviously, it is a mistake to think that either Party has control of the madman that is about to take over our country.

Who is going to save us from ourselves??

This is no time for partisan games. We need Democrats and Republicans to work together to save our country.

Sure, he can give one side their tax cuts and give the other side their infrastructure bill, but that will not stop the demagogue from getting what he wants. He will play both sides.

Perhaps it is time for an honest discussion between the Parties?

and every time the Dems try to do business with them the GOP screws them. It's like Lucy snatching the football away from Charlie Brown. Fuck them.

2. If they get tax cuts and infrastructure (privatized), they win both. We pay and they gain.

Privatization of infrastructure basically means that taxpayers foot the bill to build it, then private companies own it, and taxpapers get to pay to use it. Sweet deal for him and his cronies.

Believe me, there will be some very nasty power plays between Trump and the GOP leadership.

who are still pulling the strings. Admittedly, Trump might be a different kind of problem, and
present new difficulties, but the deeply entrenched Corporate America doesn't give up easily
either.

But we should expect more to stand with us. As Americans - not as Democrats or Republicans.

11. The other Senator in AZ may be a more likely option?

Jeff Flake (R) AZ.

Also, Rand Paul has stated publicly that he is unlikely to go along with the Trump agenda. He think Republicans have stolen a Supreme Court pick from Barack Obama, also.

This may be the best option for the Democrats at this time? They only need 3 votes on any issue and they could block the entire Republican agenda.

At this time, it may sound anathema to even think of such a thought as looking for support from any Republicans but, it may be the only option to hold back the radical Republican agenda?

I think Rand Paul will stand up to him. I've already seen some interviews and posts where he has been calling Trump on his BS. He (Paul) identified as a Libertarian anyway, so why not.

and that's why it doesn't happen. They think they should get their way about everything and they want to give the Democrats nothing. I think it is very sad because if the two major parties can't function in a bi-partisan way, our government is ineffective. That's how it has been for a while now.
