I'm watching the first news since 11/8 at about 7:00 pm PST

Every news story is worse than the one before. Recriminalizing marijuana in my state of Washington. Hate crimes up. Now waiting to see story on huge decrease in sea ice. All since the Trump power grab.

One of the things I noticed after 9/11 was that he people who obsessively watched news programs stayed depressed longer.

Yes I am liberated from feasting on the news. I realize now I was so soothed by Obama as president.

Now instead I'm hanging out just downloading old Springsteen.

Yes I'm still locked into online news but it's less in your face, I don't have to see or hear Trump or his minions. I have more control to live in my alternate reality.

I have been binge watching Perry Mason DVDs and flash drive downloads of What's My Line? otherwise.

Been doing it since election night. I boycotted the cable newsmedia a number of weeks ago.
