2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIT'S TIME FOR REVOLUTION
Peaceful, nonviolent, "velvet" revolution.
They are stealing our country from under our noses. The proof is too voluminous to list and you all know it. Hillary will win the popular vote by as much as 3 million votes.
If not now, when? What better time.
Who's going to lead it?

(50,955 posts)The purpose of the audit is to see if the irregularities that have been uncovered show problems with the election. No one on DU is going to have the proof of problems in their back pockets. No one anywhere going to have proof unless and until an audit is done. That's why we do audits when irregularities are found.
You DO keep asking for proof over and over and then smugly point out that no one has it as if that wins the internets. It doesn't. Of course no one has the proof. The audit hasn't been done. Hence the request for it.

(7,290 posts)if people want to waste money by sending it to Jill Stein, more power to 'em.
And I don't expect people on DU to have proof in their back pockets, but when people say over and over "there is proof, there is proof" then they should be able to provide it. If they can't, then they should stop claiming they have it. It's really pretty easy.
In the meantime, let's all keep pretending that we didn't lose this election so that we can avoid doing the hard work of figuring out how to not get slaughtered in the 2018 Senate elections.

(50,955 posts)I am happy to see, no success.
And once again, the purpose of the audit is to see if there is proof of tampering or error. That's why people are asking for it.

Squinch
(50,955 posts)like election anomalies looked into. For some reason, you seem to feel the need to demand proof of error in every conversation that talks about the anomalies. It's ridiculous.
Saying that you are "calling out lies" is absurd.

(7,290 posts)When? Where? I haven't once said that people shouldn't talk about it, donate to a recount fund or anything else. I personally think it's a waste of time, but that JMO.
But when someone says, as posters here have repeatedly "There is plenty of proof", they're lying. There is no proof. There's supposition and wild conspiracy theories, but no proof whatsoever. Will there be after a recount? Possibly, but highly unlikely. If the vote count remains the same and Hillary still loses after a recount, which I have no doubt she will, then it will be "Wow, they even got to the state election boards, the whole system is rigged!"
If someone is going to make a claim that there's proof, they shouldn't have any problem providing said proof. And if they can't provide it, then saying it's there is a lie.

Read Greg Palast and nymag if you need proof about the vote.

(9,527 posts)None. Zip. Zilch.
To be fair neither have you. You say it's too numerous to mention, but you only offer family dealings. If it's so obvious, you should be able to lay it out in simple concrete fashion explaining exactly what is legally wrong.

(7,290 posts)Even the computer science professor in the NYMAG article says he doubts that the election was hacked, and said that the NYMAG article misrepresented his statements and used bogus numbers.

(22,236 posts)That thread you linked to is for a good cause, to raise money for a vote re-count, but it is not proof of anything nefarious.

(50,955 posts)proof within the irregularities that have been found.
Statisticians have found irregularities. Why do you object to those being looked into? How does it hurt you?

What the hell happened to us? Smartphones (there's an oxymoron), reality TV, evangelism - the opiates of the masses. Entertain us to death.
